It would appear that we are going into the downhill side of corn planting. Because of differences in location we have customers that are finishing and others that have just started or may in some cases not put any seed in the ground at this time. But, as a whole we have seen a lot of corn go into the ground in just a few days of planting. It never fails to amaze me how fast our customers can plant their crops anymore.
Our people have been just as frustrated as you with the wet weather keeping them out of the fields. Factor in the WINDY conditions that we have had and we are having a struggle to keep up with you. Our guys have done a good job in my opinion.
As we move onto soybean planting I want to encourage the use of a good seed treatment and the proper use of a good innoculation product. It appears that the soybean crop will also start out in cool-wet soils and will need all the help possible to get off with a good start. We are promoting the use of CrusierMax seed treatment and Optimize soybean innoculation. We feel these two products are the best on the market.
